- Managing consultant for Oracle Projects (11.0.3 & 11i) on this ERP implementation with the scope including the following applications: Oracle Service, Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Payables, Oracle Receivables, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle Assets, Oracle Order Entry, Oracle Inventory. The business requirements for Oracle Projects consisted of Project Costing and Billing as well as the use of Project Connect to link project plans created in MS Projects 98. The implementation plan included the conversion from two legacy systems (MAS90 and Concord ). Specifically, the Oracle Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) was applied to implement the Oracle Projects module. The Oracle Projects functionality incorporated into the solution design of the implementation is highlighted below:

- Defined multiple indirect and contract project templates to support the creation of overhead (cost collection) and billable projects

- Established various Budget Entry Methods (BEM’s) to accommodate small, large, short and long duration projects

- Created quick agreements for rapid setup of projects and related funding agreements

- Enabled transaction controls to streamline accurate costing of expenditure types (labor, materials, airfare, per-diem, subcontractors, etc…) to correct projects

- Set up Self-Service (Internet) Time and Interface to Oracle Projects Transaction Import function

- Defined flexible and complex Auto-Accounting features for time & material, fixed quote and milestone revenue recognition and invoicing

- Built intricate Oracle Workflow for project-related accounts-payable transactions to automatically determine accounting flexfield segment values based on project attributes

- Set-up various invoice formats to satisfy the varied customer invoicing requirements (i.e., grouping by job titles, employee detail, expenditure types, unit billing)

- Proposed custom billing solution to meet the American Institute of Architects (AIA) reporting schedules

- Implemented Cost-to-Cost and Percent Complete (% complete of scope as reported by project manager) revenue accrual and invoicing methods

- Defined unlimited bill rate schedules for detailed pricing variations of T&M and Unit billing projects

- Tailored the Project Status Inquiry (PSI) with custom metrics to meet client specific needs such as gross profit percentage and work-in-process

- Designed and developed several Oracle Projects client extensions (advanced topics) and customizations

- Client extensions included overtime handling, cost and pay rate synchronization & revenue recognition

- Customized interface that extracts time captured by Oracle Projects and Oracle Service to feed ADP for payroll processing

- Designed and deployed comparative Project Progress and Revenue by State reports using Oracle Discoverer

- Developed data conversion utilities for converting accumulated costs, revenue and billings for open projects from legacy systems in order to accurately reflect inception-to-date (ITD) balances at “go-live”

- Integrated Oracle AR with existing Oracle GL, AP & FA applications and non-Oracle Ryder systems.

- Implementation included defining and mapping business requirements, conversion of customer and open invoice legacy data, interfaces (AutoInvoice, AutoLockbox & Customer) as well as design, build and testing of custom solutions.

Expert Software, Inc. is one of Americas brand names in the fast-growing and ever-changing consumer software market. Project start/end dates: December ’98 - January ’99

- Assisted G/L team with migration from character-based 10.7 to 10.7SC as well as setting up cash management. Implemented General Ledger Desktop Integrator (GLDI) and created customized financial statements using the (F)inancial (S)tatement (G)enerator.
